Despite embarking on their maiden European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
Another victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
