I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
